Pillsbury Bake-Off Prize Pack Giveaway!!

Hey there...sorry I’ve been a bit MIA in here this week, but I promise that I've got a good reason! I’ve been super-busy working on a Newman’s Own video blog post that I was selected to take part in as part of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker Program. I’ve been having a blast with this project, and I promise to post The Weekend Gourmet’s premier video blog post this weekend. So, stay tuned!!

In the meantime, I’ve got a really cool giveaway to share with you, courtesy of My Blog Spark and the Pillsbury Bake-Off!!! The prize pack for this giveaway includes a recipe book with all of the 2010 Bake-Off recipe finalists, a super-cute blue apron with the Poppin’ Fresh logo, and a Bake-Off pen. To win, all you have to do is leave me a comment below telling me why YOU should be the winner of this giveaway. The giveaway is open until 11:59 p.m. this Sunday, April 13th. The winner will be selected via random number generator and will be announced next Monday.

Do you have a recipe that you think could be the Grand Prize winner in the 45th Pillsbury Bake-Off? Well…let me point you in the right direction! Pillsbury is looking for original recipes that taste and look delicious and are simple to prepare. You can submit recipes in one of four categories:
  • The Breakfast & Brunches category includes casual brunch or weekend breakfast ideas. Think sweet rolls, pull-aparts, pastries, breakfast breads, egg dishes, and breakfast sandwiches.
  • In the Entertaining Appetizers category, entrants can submit appetizers and snacks to serve at casual gatherings or for holiday entertaining. Some examples of this are bite-size appetizers, tartlets, pinwheels, puffs, bruschetta, and focaccia.
  • The Dinner Made EasyTM category is for easy-to-prepare main dishes. These would include pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, casseroles, chilies/soups, and savory pies.
  • The Sweet Treats category is for those quick and easy treats you like to whip up for parties and other celebrations. Cookies, pies, tarts, brownies, and bars are all included in this category.

Entries are being accepted until April 18, 2011. One hundred finalists will compete for a chance at the Grand Prize during the Bake-Off finals, which will take place March 25-27, 2012 at the Peabody Orlando Hotel in Orlando, Florida. Recipes will be judged on taste, appearance, creativity, and consumer appeal. All entries must meet the requirements of the recipe category and use two of the eligible products in the amount specified. Full details and an entry form can be found at the Pillsbury Bake-Off website.

  1. I have entered the Pillsbury Bake-Off several times but to no avail. If I could win the apron, etc., it might be the closest I will ever get to feeling like a finalist on the Bake-Off stage!

  2. Why should I win...perhaps if I had the apron I would stop ruining my clothes. That's why. Also I love recipes so I would have a lot of fun with the book.

  8. Congrats on your Newman's Own vlog by the way!!! How awesome is that?! And why should I win this? Well, I have 2 babies at home you know? So that means I need all the help I can get in with keeping my clothes clean. And as for the book, well I would be all over that-cover to cover with a hot cup of tea!! ♥- Katrina

  10. The only apron I have is used exclusively for during crafts so it would be nice to have one for baking.

  11. My daughter is always asking for an apron when she comes to my house and I only have an ugly one with a santa claus on the front pocket. She and I would love to have the apron. I also am an avid cookbook collector.

  12. I have never entered in any "bake off" or cooking contest, but the giveaway sounds so nice...loved the giveaway from previously with the Red Gold tomatoes which I won through you hostessing it, and I'm still so excited about that one. Really a beautiful win, that I so appreciated!
