Savoring Fall with International Delight Coffee Creamer...Featuring Pumpkin Spice Hot White Chocolate

Fall is officially here! For many people, that means that it's time to enjoy all things pumpkin between now and Thanksgiving! I'm teaming up with International Delight coffee creamer to share a warming Fall pumpkin beverage with you today. Their line of flavored coffee creamers are perfect for flavoring your morning coffee, but did you know they're also versatile enough to star as a key ingredient in non-coffee beverages too? It's true! My Pumpkin Spice Hot White Chocolate features International Delight's Vanilla Caramel Creme. I also added some milk, white chocolate, warming spices, and pumpkin puree. It takes just minutes to whip up two servings of this decadent and soothing beverage -- and it tastes just like a piece of warm and silky pumpkin pie! You can enjoy this hot white chocolate on its own for a decadent treat...or you can add some cookies on the side for a comforting dessert or bedtime treat.

Pumpkin Spice Hot White Chocolate

Ingredients (makes 2 servings):
  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • 1/2 cup International Delight Vanilla Caramel Creme coffee creaker
  • 2 ounces white chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • Whipped cream for garnish
Directions:
Step 1: Add the milk, coffee creamer, and white chocolate to a non-stick saucepan over med-high heat. Heat, whisking every minute or two, until the white chocolate is completely incorporated into the milk and creamer. Add the pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the milk mixture.
Step 2: Whisk until the pumpkin puree is completely incorporated into the milk mixture. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the hot white chocolate reaches the desired temperature -- make sure the mixture doesn't boil, though.
Step 3: Pour the pumpkin spice hot white chocolate into two coffee mugs -- clear ones will let the gorgeous color show. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with nutmeg.
If you love pumpkin pie, you'll go crazy for this creamy and decadent beverage! It's creamy and just sweet enough thanks to the addition of the International Delight creamer and white chocolate -- but the earthiness of the pumpkin really shines here! The International Delight creamer provides a caramel background flavor that brings everything together...and the whipped cream and nutmeg add a bit of extra oomph and flavor. Like I said earlier, this is like sipping pumpkin pie from a coffee mug! I hope you'll give it a try during the Fall pumpkin season...and that you enjoy it as much as I did.
