As part of June's National Donut Day celebration in early June, my friends at Entenmann’s® are searching for the biggest donut devotee in the U.S. by accepting entries for its sweetest honorary title ever: Chief Donut Officer. Through June 30th, any donut lover can enter the Entenmann’s® Chief Donut Officer Contest for a chance to win this honorary title. The winner will also receive some exciting prizes -- including $5,000, some fun Entenmann’s® brand gear, and a year’s supply of Entenmann’s® donuts!! Contest entries will be judged based on their passion, creativity, and originality. Five finalists will be selected and invited to submit video testimonials about why they deserve to be named Chief Donut Officer. Finally, Entenmann’s® fans across the country will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite Chief Donut Officer candidate. I love delicious Entenmann’s® donuts for a special treat -- especially their chocolatey Rich Frosted Donuts! This cake-style doughnut is covered with a rich chocolate frosting, making it perfect for an indulgent afternoon snack. I also love making iced coffee at home -- it's a fraction of the price of name-brand coffee shops, and I can control the ingredients that I use. My favorite iced coffee to pair with Entenmann’s® Rich Frosted Donuts is my Easy Sugar-Free Hazelnut Iced Coffee. It's sugar-free and made with almond milk, so it's lower in fat and calories than a typical iced coffee -- but it tastes creamy and decadent. The flavors of chocolate and hazelnut were just meant to be paired, making this combo a snack you can enjoy at home -- and avoid the Summer heat!
Ingredients (makes one beverage)
- 1/2 cup chilled brewed coffee (NOTE: save some coffee from your morning pot or simply buy ready-to-use cold brew at the grocery store)
- 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1-2 packets sugar substitute (NOTE: I use a stevia blend)
- 1/3 cup sugar-free hazelnut refrigerated coffee creamer
- Ice cubes
Step 1: Add the chilled coffee to a glass with a 2-cup capacity. Add the sugar substitute and stir to dissolve in the coffee.
Step 2: Add the almond milk and sugar-free hazelnut creamer to the glass and stir to evenly combine all of the ingredients. Add 3-4 ice cubes and a straw, and serve immediately.
That's it -- yummy iced coffee ready in literally 2 minutes! Lovers of chocolate hazelnut spread will go totally crazy for this iced coffee paired with an Entenmann’s® Rich Frosted Donut. Not a hazelnut fan? No problem! Simply substitute the same amount of your favorite sugar-free refrigerated coffee creamer...caramel or vanilla would also work great in this recipe.
