Perry's Steakhouse & Grille Fall Menu Preview #perryssteakhouse #fallmenu #sneakpeek

Perry's Steakhouse & Grille has recently introduced some delicious off-the-menu Fall 2019 seasonal dishes. Michael and I dropped by the San Antonio Perry's location last weekend for a sneak peek of these limited-time dishes! There's a bit of everything: a hearty seasonal salad, spicy chili that features their signature Perry's Pork Chop, a decadent seafood risotto...and even a swoon-worthy pumpkin dessert. I can't wait to share these fabulous dishes with you -- get ready to have your mouth water!

Our tasting was accompanied by a bottle of Perry's Reserve Pinot Noir. This house red wine paired perfectly with every item on the Fall menu. The first dish from the kitchen was Perry's Harvest Salad. It featured organic greens, seasonal veggie, and more...all tossed in a tangy apple cider flax seed vinaigrette. This hearty salad definitely had a lot going on! Key salad components included carrot, radish, avocado, julienne yellow squash and zucchini, sliced sweet pepper, sunflower seeds, and pepitas.
We loved the combination of flavors and textures in this salad...and the tangy vinaigrette had a mild punch of spice from the addition of turmeric and ginger. This salad paired very nicely with crusty bread and the Perry's Reserve Pinot Noir. This 2017 vintage provided fruity aromas of cherries and berries. These fruity flavors are balanced by a soft, elegant texture and a lingering finish. This red wine was smooth and easy to drink -- it complemented our menu items without overpowering them. Nicely done!

Next from the kitchen was the White Bean Pork Chili -- perfect for enjoying as cool Fall weather approaches! This white bean chill is infused with poblano and Hatch green chiles. garlic, and oregano. It also includes diced applewood smoked bacon and pieces of Perry's Famous Pork Chop. Each bowl is garnished with corn tortilla strips, cheese, cilantro, and warm flour tortillas. A squeeze of lime juice takes this spicy chili right over the top!
Talk about comforting...I could have eaten TWO bowls of this delicious chili! As comforting as this dish was? The next dish was totally decadent. Let this sink in: Lobster. Truffle. Risotto. Swoon!

This decadent entree features a generous helping of Maine lobster poached in a velvety beurre monte butter sauce. The lobster is served on top of a risotto cooked with lobster stock, truffle oil, peas and carrots, chives, and tarragon. Then? The dish arrived at our table with fresh black truffle shavings on top. This dish is like a little black dress: stylish and classic!
As this bite shows, this risotto is absolutely gorgeous to look at...in addition to being positively delicious. Sweet lobster meat, creamy rice, sweet peas and carrots...and a rich, buttery beurre monte sauce...combine to create a very special splurge dish for your next date night!

No meal is complete without dessert...and Perry's is offering a showstopper this Fall! Their Pumpkin Cheesecake is perfectly portioned for a shared bite of "something sweet" after a decadent meal. It features a buttery pecan-gingersnap crust topped with a creamy pumpkin spiced cheesecake filling. The cheesecake is topped with vanilla whipped cream, a salted caramel drizzle, and chopped candied pecans. This dessert definitely takes traditional pumpkin pie to new levels.
While we ate our dessert, the San Antonio Perry's Chef Eugene Lopez came by our table to chat about the inspiration for the Fall menu items. For example...the kitchen staff arrives early each morning to simmer the lobster stock for the risotto to ensure it reduces and is richly flavored. That in turn ensures the finished risotto has an incredible depth of flavor. It's the little things that really make a difference!

Perry's Steakhouse & Grille originated in the Houston area in the late 1970's. They've expanded since then to 20+ locations around the country. We've been dining at Perry's for at least 20 years, and the food is always delicious! Before I close, I want to add that Perry's is serving its full menu -- along with a traditional Thanksgiving menu -- from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Thanksgiving Day. To make reservations, visit PerrysSteakhouse.com.

Disclosure: Perry's Steakhouse & Grille provided a complimentary tasting of its seasonal Fall menu items at its San Antonio location to facilitate this feature. All opinions expressed are solely my own.
