If you want to escape the cold and the snow at this chilly time of year, you're not alone. The good news is that there are plenty of great destination options to choose from right here in the US! These locations are warm and sunny -- even at this time of year. Each city's top Summer temperatures are unlikely to be achieved at this time of year...but some sunshine and warmth are pretty much guaranteed. Here are some excellent choices if you're planning a Winter break to get some Sun.

New Orleans
Want to warm up over Winter? Then some Jazz music, boat trips, and tasty Cajun/Creole food can be just what you need. You’ll find all of these things in abundance in New Orleans! Even if you plan to visit at a different time of year, New Orleans is somewhere that is full of activities, tours, and various memorable experiences.
Savannah
If you want an escape from the colder climates, then a trip to Savannah, Georgia, could be on the cards. It's quite a relaxing city...with relaxing horse carriage rides and riverboat cruises you can take. There's also tons of walks through perfectly manicured gardens. You never know, you could even spot some dolphins at nearby Tybee Island.
Miami
Florida is definitely one of the places that will spring to mind when you're thinking of Winter Sun. Miami is a great place for a little Sun and sophistication. You can rent a boat in Miami, sun yourself at the beach, hit some of the nightlife, and see some of the amazing Art Deco frontages that are found in the city. The shopping and food in Miami are great too!
Honolulu
Hawaii is another great choice for some a Winter getawat, with Waikiki Beach being one of the best places to visit. Sun, surf, and fish tacos...what more do you want? You can also go hiking to the top of Leahi for stunning panoramic views, and you might even spot some whales in the water. Honolulu is a great destination for snorkeling as well.
Biloxi
Mississippi might not be a place that naturally springs to mind, but there's plenty to see and do in the city. You can try your luck at some of the city's casinos...and it's a city known for its beer. For something a little different, you could also head to the bayou and go kayaking. The city features a stunning coastline that you can wander along and relax. You can also grab a ferry to Ship Island for a peaceful day off on the water.
Phoenix
Phoenix is a great city to visit any time of the year. However, due to great weather pretty much year round, Phoenix is a great sunny Winter getaway. You can enjoy hiking, golfing, shopping, and even a little bar hopping! Although there isn't much water in sight, there are plenty of other options for fun!
