Nabisco Netflix Klaus Special Holiday Recipes...Featuring White Chocolate Chip Cookies with Peppermint Bark OREO #peppermint #oreo #holidaybaking #cookies #easybaking

Nabisco recently released some fun, festive new recipes in celebration of their first partnership with Netflix for the holiday animated film Klaus. This family-friendly movie encourages everyone to connect to create special memories throughout the holiday season. One of the featured recipes is White Chocolate Chip Cookies with Peppermint Bark OREO. They're a snap to whip up thanks to using a package of refrigerated ready-to-bake sugar cookies as the base. Simply add some chopped seasonal Peppermint Bark OREO cookies and two other special recipes...and you'll have two dozen delicious cookies in minutes! Just in case you're not keeping count, these cookies have just FOUR ingredients!!! I made a batch of these fun cookies this week...and they were a unanimous hit with my family!

White Chocolate Chip Cookies with Peppermint Bark OREO
Recipe from Nabisco
Ingredients (makes two dozen cookies):
  • 1 pkg. (16 oz.) refrigerated slice-and-bake sugar cookie dough
  • 10 Peppermint Bark OREO cookies, chopped
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • 1/4 cup holiday sprinkles [NOTE: I used crushed candy canes to increase the peppermint flavor]

Step 1: Heat oven to 350°F. Break cookie dough into small pieces and place in a large mixing bowl. Let the dough soften for approximately 30 minutes. Add the chopped OREO cookies and white chocolate chips. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Step 2: Use a cookie scoop to portion the dough into 24 mounds. Place the cookie dough 2 inches apart on two parchment-covered baking sheets. Brush the tops of the dough mounds with a water, then top with sprinkles/crushed candy canes.
Step 3: Bake the cookies for 11 to 13 min. -- just until the center of the cookies are firm to the touch. Rotate the baking sheets halfway through the baking time to ensure even browning. Cool the finished cookies on the baking sheets for 5 minutes. Removet  to wire racks; cool completely.
To serve, place the cooked cookies on a decorative holiday platter. The chunks of Peppermint Bark OREO cookies and festive red-and-green candy canes provide a nice pops of color against the sugar cookie base...and the cookies' minty flavor is delicious without being overwhelming.
These cookies bake up crispy on the edges...and NO ONE can stop at having just one! They're a perfect addition to any last-minute cookie gift trays you have planned...or for sharing at your Christmas gatherings next week. They're delicious with milk or cocoa...but Michael totally loved his with a bowl of ice cream. You can find the full list of Nabisco's special Klaus-inspired recipes -- including their famous Holiday Peppermint Bark OREO Cookie Balls -- at their online special holiday recipe collection.
