Sweet Treats You Can Make With Matcha Green Tea #bakewithtea #matcha #greentea

Matcha green tea is traditionally mixed with hot water and consumed as a beverage. However, you may be surprised to learn that you can make a broad range of drinks and snacks using matcha powder. With that being said, read on for some sweet treat suggestions using matcha.

Before we reveal some of our favorite matcha snacks, it's important to talk a little bit about the health benefits associated with consuming matcha. A lot of people know that matcha is a great replacement for your daily coffee, because it provides an improved, more sustainable energy boost. It's also linked with lowering the risk of cancer. Needless to say, match isn't a miracle substitute for prostate cancer treatment -- nor can it prevent you from becoming ill -- but there are links with matcha's nutritional properties and lowering the cancer risk. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the best matcha snacks available.

Matcha Green Tea Muffins
Who doesn’t love scrumptious soft, warm muffins? We’ve got a great recipe for muffins. All you need is butter, milk, eggs, baking powder, salt, sugar, self-raising flour, and -- of course -- a big of matcha powder. Easy...right?

Matcha White Chocolate Brownies
Easy to make and really delicious! For this recipe, you'll need ½ cup white chocolate chips, ½ cup toasted almonds, ¼ tsp. almond extract, ½ tsp. vanilla, two eggs, six tbsp. butter, 6 oz. white chocolate, one cup flour, and a bit of matcha powder. Begin by combining the white chocolate and butter in a bowl, then melt in the microwave. Stir in the matcha powder and eggs. Add the almond extract, vanilla, and flour. Finally, stir in the white chocolate chips and almonds. Pour the batter into a greased, floured 8x8 baking dish. Bake at 375℉ until lightly browned -- approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

Matcha Truffles
Matcha truffles are really easy to make, and they taste amazing! You need 2 tbsp. maple syrup, one cup coconut butter, and 1 ½ tbsp. Matcha powder for the filling. You then need two tbsp. almond milk and one cup of dark chocolate chips for the coating. To make, combine all truffle filling ingredients in a food processor. Roll the truffle mixture into balls, then place in the freezer for approximately 30 minutes to set. Combine the dark chocolate and almond milk and melt in the microwave. Dip the truffle balls in the melted chocolate, then place them in the fridge for a couple of hours.

Raspberry, Lemon & Mighty Matcha Marble Loaf
How delicious does this sound? The addition of raspberry adds a tasty, juicy finishing touch to the loaf -- which looks impressive as well. You can also make your own variations on different sweet breads loaves by adding a bit of matcha and marbling the batter as well. The pretty marbled look is something that always impresses if you're serving to guests.

There you have it -- some of the best matcha treats for you to enjoy today!
