Central Texas McDonald's COVID-19 Response...and Summer Hiring Focused on Archways to Opportunity Benefits Program #mcdonalds #archwaystoopportunity #ad

Central Texas McDonald's Owners/Operators are making customer and employee safety their first priority in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The good news? Local McDonald's sites are ready to serve hungry Texans! Drive-thrus are currently open...and they're also offering home delivery of your favorite menu items via their McDelivery® service. Local McDonald’s restaurant dining rooms will reopen in the future -- and to help meet the demand and change, they're actively seeking motivated individuals for new job opportunities. Via their innovative signature Archways to Opportunity™ program, McDonald's offers its employees opportunities for career advancement, tuition assistance, and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Archways to Opportunity™ provides tuition assistance of up to $2,500 annually for crew members ($3,000 per year for managers). To date, Archways to Opportunity™ has increased access to education for more than 24,000 McDonald’s employees in the United States.

Additional program benefits include flexible hours, competitive starting wages, and room and opportunity for long-term growth and advancement within the company. These new positions are a variety of full- and part-time opportunities based on each location's specific needs. Hiring information, benefits, and applications can are available via three avenues: (1) picked up at any participating McDonald’s drive thru, (2) by texting worksforme to 36453, or (3) visiting McHire.com.

Of primary importance, Central Texas McDonald’s Owner/Operators are acting with a sense of urgency to provide a healthy work environment so their employees can feel good about coming to work each day. With new and extensive safety measures in place, the well being and safety of every employee and guest takes precedence to provide a healthy, secure, and reliable work environment and dinging experience. According to local McDonald's Owner/Operator Cindy Ferguson:

Safety comes first. Plain and simple, we are making it our mission to offer a healthy workplace for all our employees. While we’ve always adhered to the strictest standards, now more than ever, we’re putting in the extra resources and steps to go beyond what’s expected -- such as providing masks and gloves to all employees, increasing the number of times employees wash their hands per hour, and adhering to social distancing guidelines in the kitchen and open dining rooms. Our employees are like family, and we will always put their well being at the top of our list.
Other proactive safety steps being implemented include employee wellness checks; taking temperatures before, during, and after each work schedule; and enhanced industrial-strength cleaning of each restaurant's premises at regularly scheduled intervals.
