The start of the new school year is definitely a bit different than usual this year -- with Texas educators conducting a combination of both in-room class instruction and virtual online learning. To show their support and appreciation to area teachers, participating McDonald's restaurants across Central Texas are offering a number of teacher appreciation initiatives! Beginning Monday, August 31st -- and every Monday through September 28 -- teachers with a valid ID can stop by for a free McCafé regular hot or iced drip coffee from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Area teachers will also receive a McDonald’s Be Our Guest (BOG) card. These cards will be distributed to school districts in Austin, San Antonio, Waco, Bryan/College Station, and Victoria -- as well as in each city's surrounding areas. Each BOG card will provide each teacher a free McDonald's Breakfast Combo Meal® of their choice.
Finally, as part of an ongoing community outreach program -- and a reflection of McDonald’s support for local schools -- McDonald's Owner/Operators will personally deliver an assortment of McDonald’s Jurassic World Happy Meal Reader books to select Central Texas elementary schools. These book deliveries will take place September 7th through 17th. According to McDonald's Owner/Operator Carlos Rodriguez: These are some of the ways that we like to say thank you to some wonderful people who make Central Texas such a great place. During these trying times, McDonald’s restaurants’ owners and employees will continue to offer support to our local [school] districts -- working to serve as good neighbors, good friends, and community partners.
