This holiday season, goodies won’t only be found tucked under the decorated tree! That's because McDonald’s locations across the country are mobilizing their elves to offer delicious daily in-app deals featuring favorite seasonal characters from classic holiday movies. Offers include the McFlurry, which Frosty the Snowman melts over...and syrupy Hotcakes that make Buddy the Elf go gaga. Be sure and mark your calendar so you don't miss out! Starting December 14th -- this coming Monday -- McDonald’s will feature a different character and offer a FREE* menu item they crave! These daily offers are exclusively accessed via the McDonald's app and require a $1 minimum purchase. These festive daily deals will conclude on Christmas Eve with a certain jolly someone’s most treasured treat: free soft-baked Chocolate Chip Cookies (glass of milk not included)!

 

Following the launch of limited-edition celebrity signature orders at McDonald's locations in September and October, these beloved holiday characters are the latest icons to be paired with their favorite McDonald's menu items at participating locations nationwide. These festive daily in-app deals will celebrate characters from classic holiday movies like National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Gremlins, and Die Hard (yes...Die Hard is definitely a holiday movie!!).

• December 14: Double Cheeseburger (The Griswolds)
• December 15: Big Mac (The Abominable Snow Man)
• December 16: Egg McMuffin (The Grinch)
• December 17: McDouble (John McClane from Die Hard)
• December 18: Medium World Famous Fries® (Rudolph)
• December 19: 6-Piece McNuggets (Gizmo from Gremlins)
• December 20: Hotcakes (Buddy the Elf)
• December 21: Any Size Hot or Iced Coffee (Scrooge)
• December 22: Any Size McFlurry (Frosty the Snowman)
• December 23: Bakery Item (Frank Costanza...and the Rest of Us)
• December 24: 2- or 3-Pack Chocolate Chip Cookies (Santa)

According to McDonald's U.S. Chief Marketing Officer Morgan Flatley, this campaign is a fun and festive way to close out a year like 2020:

I think we could all use some extra cheer this season. What better way to celebrate and get into the holiday spirit than with free McDonald’s menu favorites for everyone -- including Rudolph, the Abominable Snow Monster, and yes... even Scrooge.

The free Chocolate Chip Cookie offer on Christmas Eve requires no additional purchase to enjoy. However, all other daily offers will require a minimum $1 purchase in the McDonald's app and will be activated via Mobile Order and Pay. To access each of these great daily deals, download the McDonald’s App -- available for both iOS and Android phones.
