At-Home Healthier Blended Coffee...Featuring Sugar Free Caramel Turtle Mocha Frappe #sugarfreefrappe #fewercarbs #makeitathome #healthycoffeecreations #mochafrappe

Who doesn't love to treat themselves to a delicious coffee house beverage? They definitely taste great, but they can also pack a huge calorie and sugar punch! My solution? I re-create my favorite blended coffee drinks at home -- I can control the amount of sugar and extra add-ins I use! I recently created a decadent Sugar Free Caramel Turtle Mocha Frappe. It's super easy to make, lower in carbs, delicious...and it costs a fraction of what my coffee shop charges. Even better? I can make this frappe in minutes at home while wearing my comfy pajamas whenever the mood strikes!

Sugar Free Caramel Turtle Mocha Frappe
a Weekend Gourmet Original
Ingredients (makes one large or two small beverages):
  • 1.5 cups crushed ice
  • 1.5 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 8 oz. chilled chocolate flavored coffee (NOTE: I brew and refrigerate overnight)
  • 1 TBS sugar-free coffee flavoring (NOTE: I use Skinny Syrup Salted Caramel)
  • 1 TBS + 1 TBS sugar-free caramel syrup (NOTE: I use Walden Farms)
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt
  • 2 TBS sugar-free chocolate syrup (NOTE: I use Walden Farms)
  • 2 TBS chopped pecans
  • 2 TBS zero sugar aerosol whipped cream
Directions:
Step 1: Place caramel syrup in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for :30. Add sea salt and stir to completely combine. Set aside until you're ready to assemble the frappe.
Step 2: Add crushed ice, almond milk, chilled coffee, 1 TBS of sugar free chocolate syrup, and caramel coffee flavoring to blender. Blend until ice is completely combined with the other ingredients. Pour into one or two glasses. Top with zero sugar whipped cream, then drizzle with the sugar-free salted caramel and the other tablespoon of chocolate syrup. Sprinkle with chopped pecans, and serve with a straw.
This frappe tastes exactly like a caffeinated caramel turtle candy! The drizzle of salted caramel and chocolate sauces -- and the crunchy chopped pecans -- provide visual appeal and flavor. The balance between caramel, chocolate, and coffee flavors here is perfect for me. If you prefer a more pronounced coffee flavor, simply add a bit more coffee to the mix. I keep these ingredients on hand all the time...so I can enjoy a healthier mocha frappe anytime the mood strikes!
